The daughter of a steel worker and a stay-at-home mom, nobody could have predicted Kathi’s rise to the top. She was fresh out of high school when she developed her aptitude for art and technology, and after graduating from the Ontario College of Art and Design, Kathi worked in graphic design, creating award-winning artwork for music labels including BMG, Sony, EMI and Columbia. Her first commercial shoot was a 10-day AT&T campaign.
She has since directed for the likes of Kia, CVS, AmEx, Walmart, AT&T, Emirates Airlines, Guinness, JC Penney, MAC, Mars, Nescafe, TRESemme and Dove.
Kathi’s work is personal, compelling, and powerful. Her background has afforded her terrific range as a director, but it’s her authentic performances, her eye for the visually arresting and her deep-seated understanding of the human condition that allow her to tap into the heart and soul of her audience, time and time again.
Kathi joined Ampersand’s director roster in 2022 for U.S. representation.
